Curateur Kristina Solomoukha: 

A l’initiative de la Fondation Vladimir Smirnov et Konstantine Sorokin  et à l’invitation de la commissaire d’exposition Eugenia Kikodze en  novembre et décembre 2012 à Moscou s’est déroulé le workshop  de l’artiste plasticienne Kristina Solomoukha autour des questions  « Qu‘est-ce que l’exposition? » et « Quels sont ses territoires? », avec  la participation des diplômés et des étudiants de l’École Alexandre  rodchenko de Photographie et de Multimedia, de l’institut des  Problèmes d’Art contemporain de Moscou, et de PRO ARTE de St  Petersburg. 

Durant treize jours, du 27 octobre au 4 novembre et du 1er au 4 décembre,  nous nous sommes rencontrés dans l’atelier rue Bouracova et à la Random  Gallery. Nous avons visité des expositions, vu des travaux des participants  du workshop, bu du thé, ri et discuté. Le résultat de ce travail collectif est le projet d’une exposition, plus  précisément, le projet d’un objet hybride – un journal qui est à la fois un  compte rendu, un catalogue, une réflexion sur l’exposition, la reproduction  et les travaux originaux des participants. Le journal rassemble des textes, des projets et des travaux. Plié, c’est une  édition ou un catalogue. Déplié et accroché dans l’espace, il devient une  exposition. Nous avons choisi la forme du journal pour souligner l’actualité  des questions posées et le caractère éphémère de l’information, la  possibilité de poursuivre la discussion et d’éditer de nouveaux numéros.

                                                                                                                                                    

Curator Kristina Solomoukha: 

At the initiative of the Foundation of Vladimir Smirnov and Konstantine  Sorokin and at the invitation of curator Eugenia Kikodze, artist Kristina  Solomoukha held masterclasses in november-December 2012 in  Moscow on the theme of “what is an exhibition and what are its  territories?” The seminars were attended by students and graduates  of the Alexander rodchenko School of Photography and Multimedia  and the Institute of contemporary Art in Moscow and the PRO ARTE  School in St Petersburg. 

For 13 days, from 27 October to 4 November and from 1 to 4 December,  we met up at a studio on Burakov Street, in the Random Gallery, visited Moscow exhibitions, discussed the works of participants of the masterclasses, drank tea, laughed and argued. The result of this joint work was the project of an exhibition or, to be more exact, the project of a hybrid object — a newspaper simultaneously  representing a work report, a catalogue, a deliberation on the exhibition, a reproduction and an original of the participants’ works. The newspaper brings together texts, projects and works and can exist in two forms. Folded up, it is like a book or catalogue. Hanging in the exhibition space, it becomes an exhibit. Through the choice of the form of the “newspaper” we wanted to underline the idea of the topicality of the questions under discussion, the ephemerality of the information and the possibility of continuing our debate and publishing subsequent issues.

По инициативе Фонда Владимира Смирнова и Константина  Сорокина в ноябре–декабре 2012 года состоялись мастер  классы художницы Кристины Соломухи на тему «Что такое  выставка и каковы её территории?», в  которых участвовали  студенты и выпускники Московской Школы Родченко, ИПСИ  и Петербургского института ПРО АРТЕ. 

На протяжении тринадцати дней, с 27 октября по 4 ноября и с 1 по  4 декабря мы встречались в мастерской на ул. Буракова, в Random  gallery, ходили по выставкам, смотрели работы участников мастер  классов, пили чай, смеялись и спорили. Результатом этой совместной работы стал проект выставки, точнее  проект гибридного объекта — газеты — являющейся отчётом  о работе, каталогом, размышлением о выставке, репродукцией  и оригиналом работ участников. В газете собраны тексты, проекты и работы, она может существовать  в двух формах: в сложенном виде — как издание или каталог,  развешенная в выставочном пространстве она становится  выставочным объектом. Выбором формы «газеты» мы хотели  подчеркнуть идею актуальности затронутых вопросов и эфемерности  информации, возможности продолжения дебатов и издания  следующих номеров.
